AVRECO’s in-house property underwriting facility operates for small- to medium-size commercial property business and does business in all 50 states on a non-admitted basis with the exception of Illinois and Kentucky, where it is admitted.
The property underwriting department deals only with wholesale brokers that have surplus lines licenses, and has a capacity of $6 million on non-catastrophe-exposed business, with the exception of $1.5 million on frame construction.
There is a minimum premium of $1,500 and a minimum deductible of $1,000 with a capacity of up to $5,000,000 on primaries and/or excess. Minimum premium is $5,000 on primaries and $800 - $1,000 per million on excess, with a max TIV of $25,000,000.
ISO forms are used along with Lloyd’s endorsements, and the paper is A-XV with certain underwriters at Lloyd’s of London.
