At the annual luncheon meeting of the Association of Lloyd's Brokers this past Tuesday, November 8, 2005, Linda Deiss, AVRECO's Vice-President and Underwriting Manager, was voted by the Board of Directors to be Chairperson of the Association of Lloyd's Brokers. AVRECO Announces Additional Plans for Expansion

AVRECO, a member of The Park Group with offices in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, London, and Bermuda, announces the October 2005 hiring of Greg Schrom, Vice President, who will be responsible for the development of all lines of business in California and the Southwest market, with the specific objective of opening an AVRECO office in San Diego. Mr. Schrom will initially focus on brokering medical and non-medical professional liability and using his binding authority for small package business.

Mr. Schrom’s 18 years in the insurance industry include experience in underwriting, product development, regulatory affairs, project management, distribution management, and marketing. Originally trained in general commercial P&C underwriting at The Hartford, Mr. Schrom comes to AVRECO from Fireman’s Fund Specialty, where he worked for the past nine years in such leadership roles as Marketing Manager and Program Manager for various professional liability products.
